Wollerau, January 27th, 2017 – The FAES Group sold FAES SRT AG to the Bavarian Edelmann Technology Group. With this step, FAES SRT AG is ideally positioned to further develop the company in cooperation with other companies of the Edelmann Technology Group that are also active worldwide in the slitting and rewinding business.

As of December 1st, 2015, FAES SRT AG was spun off from the traditional company FAES AG in Wollerau to focus on the production of the world's most widely distributed slitting and rewinding machines for high-tech films and foils. FAES AG was founded in Richterswil in 1912 and has established a name as a supplier in the area of precision parts production and assembly of modules, systems and machines for third parties at Wollerau and Mels (Switzerland) as well as in Jihlava (Czech Republic). FAES SRT AG, with its subsidiary FAES SRT Inc. in Sarasota, Florida (USA), is the number 1 worldwide for the sale of machines for the production of Thermal Transfer Ribbons (TTR) and Dye Sublimation Ribbons.

With more than 70 years of experience, Edelmann has distinguished itself by its adaptability to new market conditions and successful technological breakthroughs. Founded in 1946, the company has launched numerous inventions for the textile industry. Edelmann was the world's first manufacturer of a winding and slitting machine for nonwovens and for decades has developed into one of the world's leading manufacturers of winding and slitting systems for the non-woven industry.

PSA Technology GmbH from Bitburg and Gerd Wolff Maschinenfabrik GmbH from Hagen are also part of the company network. PSA Technology is known for a wide range of customer-specific solutions for winding and slitting machines for web-shaped materials made of paper, film, nonwoven, laminate, aluminum and composites. The Gerd Wolff Maschinenfabrik is well-known for its innovative bkm steel strip lines, which offer their customers crucial technical advantages in the rolling, winding and cutting of steel strips.

The Edelmann Group is now home to a total of 7 locations in Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg and the USA.
